- Abstract
The article focuses on various discoveries of new linguistic facts hidden in large corpora using experimental techniques including the combination of computer power and commercial utility. It states that in computer resources, large data-driven experiments are allowed to be performed using large collections of linguistic data. It adds that commercial utility introduces the pragmatic engineering ethos, wherein workable methods and practical results are more significant than theoretical debates.
