- Abstract
The article reports that Japan looks at nuclear-free future. It says that since the gas explosions and melt downs at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station in March 2011, the remaining reactors in Japan have been shut down for maintenance and inspections. It states that before the Fukushima tragedy, the energy plans of the country relied on the expansion of its nuclear capacity. Moreover, the cabinet-level Energy and Environment Council will consider four nuclear scenarios over the summer.
