- Abstract
This article, published in the Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology, presents a case report of a 66-year-old woman who experienced a rupture of a pseudoaneurysm in the right hepatic artery. The patient had been diagnosed with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and had received radiation therapy. After six months, she developed hematemesis and shock, and a 6-mm pseudoaneurysm was identified near a small branch of the right posterior hepatic artery. The patient underwent coil embolization, which successfully achieved hemostasis. The article emphasizes the importance of clinicians being aware of ruptured pseudoaneurysms as a potential cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and the need for prompt intervention such as endovascular embolization.
