- Abstract
The gauge-changeable wheelset technology is an effective way to allow the railway rolling stock to run straightly in sections with different gauges. According to the gauge changing principle and the technical parameters of the new type of gauge-changeable wheelset designed by a car builder, the comprehensive performance test bench for gauge-changeable wheelset is developed to simulate functions such as unlocking/ locking, gauge changing and running-in of the gauge-changeable wheelset. The performance of the gauge- changeable wheelset has a direct influence on the performance of the gauge-changeable bogie and plays a crucial role in the operation safety of the train. This article takes the gauge-changeable wheelset as the object and studies the test method and the test process according to the state of motion and the performance of the wheelset during gauge changing. The upper computer software, LabVIEW is used for programming control. and the data is collected for analysis and processing so as to monitor the state of the wheelset operation in real time. The test result shows that the system can complete the wheelset performance test during the type test, effectively monitor the equipment operation state, and realize fault warning and handling. This study can provide technical support for the operation of the gauge-changeable bogie and the gauge-changeable train and has a certain engineering application value.
