Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) have great potential as a biological control for termites but their application requires further study. This paper reviews progress in the use of EPNs, and their symbiotic bacteria, for termite control, and the mechanisms by which EPNs control these pests. The bottlenecks, key points and future prospects for using EPNs for termite control are discussed.
