- Abstract
This paper reports the findings of an educational intervention aimed at improving the linguistic and communication skills of university students from a person-centered pedagogical approach. The intervention device is made up of semi-structured interviews (pre-active and post-active) and surveys; The data collection instruments were administered during 40 work sessions and a total of 46 university students enrolled in a Communication Sciences educational program at an institution of northwestern Mexico. For the presentation of the results, content analysis and axial coding were used, it is observed that the intervention aimed at favoring the linguistic and communicative skills of the student group is efficient when working with person-centered approaches rather than those focused on the academic content.
