The essay explores how Biblical stories are rewritten to highlight idolatry within the volume "Biblical Antiquities" by Pseudo-Philo of Alexandria. Topics addressed include discussion of the ways in which resistance to idolatry is seen as the essence of Israel's identity, how contact with foreigners is shown to lead to idolatry, and the historical context of Pseudo-Philo.
