- Abstract
The organizational culture requires scientific understanding and research in terms of the specifics of the socio-cultural attitudes and values of Southeastern European societies and countries. The research achievements of leading western specialists should be popularized, while at the same time emphasis should be placed on those research methods and models of organizational culture that correspond in the utmost to the culture and experience of the Balkan nations. Moreover, it should be stressed in the very beginning that organizational culture is influenced by but is different from the national or ethnic culture in a given organization. Organizational culture is unique to the organization and reflects the style, values, habits, psychological needs and problems of its founders and current decision-making leaders. Analyzing organizational culture is a starting point for taking control over it, for attaining the goals of the organization. In the article the diagnostic method by K. Cameron and R. Quinn is analyzed as the most famous method for measuring and evaluating organizational culture. They provide not only a framework and a tool for understanding organizational culture but a set of systematic steps to change it as well.
