- Title
A Liberal Jew's Approach to Pluralistic Jewish Religious Education.
- Authors
Meyer, Michael A.
- Abstract
The article deals with the integration of pluralism within the framework of Jewish liberal thought, Judaism and Jewish education. The natural opposition to pluralism by both Orthodox and Liberal Jews is resolved through a recognition that they are absent of the ability, as reflected by their limited human understanding, to ascertain the true will of God. This unity can be achieved in education by creating a sense of klal yisra' el and teaching a particular understanding of Judaism, instilling a devotion to Jewish peoplehood, and understanding the Biblical Abraham.
