- Abstract
When left untreated for a long time, endodontically treated teeth with the loss of coronal tooth structure can lead to super-eruption, drifting, tilting, and rotation of adjacent and opposing teeth. Because there isn’t enough interocclusal space, fabrication of a crown may be difficult for the clinician. Post and core followed by a crown are recommended for teeth with less residual crown height to restore normal anatomy, function, and aesthetics. The most challenging patients to handle have low interocclusal clearance and extremely steep incisal guiding. For such circumstances, the Richmond crown is a workable solution that may be applied with very little incisal clearance to accommodate post, core, and crown thickness. This article discusses the diagnosis, treatment plans, and method of manufacturing for such a situation.
