- Abstract
The article explores the conspiratorial mode in American television, with focus on political dramas "House of Cards" and "Scandal." It explores the four dimensions of conspiratorial mode, including the epistemological considerations central to 20th-century conspiracies, lineage for conspiracy within the strategies and tactics of professional public relations, and the political engagement redefine in the shows. It concludes with a discussion of conspiracy and the 2016 presidential election.
