- Abstract
An essay is presented on the response of American studies to Islamophobia and support for Israel. Topics covered include Islamophobic groups' efforts to undermine the possibilities of Palestinian advocacy, the use of Islamophobia to garner support for Israel, and Islamophobic advertising campaigns by Zionist groups such as the American Freedom Defense Initiative. The formation of an Israel-friendly public opinion in the U.S. after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks is also mentioned.
