The article focuses on the U.S. construction industry and builders risk coverage insurance. It offers information on the case Zurich American Insurance Co. v. Keating Building Corp. and types of soft costs in construction industry. It offers suggestions on various aspects to be considered while developing a framework for managing delay and soft costs in builders insurance, including project accounting, calculation the period of indemnity and measuring loss, and immediate assessment of claims.
