- Abstract
The article focuses on the failure of American educational system curriculum to infuse the real essence of multiculturalism in elementary schools. It explores the instructional approaches by teachers to promote multiculturalism such as through holidays and says that such efforts fail to educate students as it cover less attention for being a non nationwide school activity. It says that teaching multiculturalism will be effective when implemented in early learning of children, motivating manner, and that is promoting critical thinking. Meanwhile, it suggests educators to have a learning environment that will allow students to develop multiculturalism naturally.
