- Abstract
The article presents several reports related to volcanoes. National Geographic expert Ford Cochran says that the seismic activity in the area of the sub-ice volcano Katla in Iceland show that eruption is imminent, which can melt its frozen surface and cause harmful flooding. The tribal land at Ohaaki within the Taupo Volcanic Zone has sunk by 3.7 meter (m) since 1992. Remote sensing is used to gain information on the geomorphology and structural geology of the Semeru volcano in Indonesia.
