The article discusses the problems of copyright and public performance in the case of Cartoon Network LP v. CSC Holdings Inc. in the U.S. It mentions that the case involves an argument between a consortium of content providers and a cable television network focused on the digital video recorder (DVR) which records televised programming. An overview of physical embodiment phenomenon on Cablevision Systems Corp.'s DVR services is also presented.
