- Abstract
This paper presents the computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided engineering (CAE) modeling of a Miniature Circuit Breaker(MCB) in order to analyze the electromagnetic field(EMF) distribution. In a first step the detailed three dimensional (3D) CAD model of the MCB is constructed in the CAD environment PTC Creo Elements v.18.1. Then the exact 3D model is imported in the Ansoft Maxwell v.15 CAE environment and the electromagnetic field distribution computed. The field along the axis of MCB's coil is compared with the analytical solution.
