- Abstract
The article presents a study that examines the development and critical role of national fraternity/sorority councils at the University of Toledo (UT), Ohio. It mentions three phases involved in development of councils which include emergence of Women's Inter-Sorority Council and Men's Pan-Hellenic Council in the 1920s; affiliation with national councils in the 1940s; and diversification of the campus councils with the addition of the Council of Black Greek Organizations in the 1980s.
