- Abstract
Near- and mid-IR photometry is fundamental in the study of the stellar evolution during the Asymptotic Giant Branch phase. We give here an overview of our studies on this topic that are performed in preparation of the IRAIT/Dome C campaign. We will present also a few cases of variable AGB stars for which Antarctic long time-series observations in mid-IR are important. Finally, we will show one of the first observations made by Small-IRAIT during this winterover.
