- Abstract
The article presents a case study of money currency exchangers in Afghanistan to understand how a group of market actors have been able to capitalize on the shortage of credit available to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing the latter with credit. It mentions trust develops between the two parties as they undertake credit transactions and, more importantly, depends on the debtor-business making timely repayments.
