- Abstract
The article focuses on the principle of equality and justice in the U.S and the right to appellate review of lawful permanent residents (LPR). Topics discussed include the consequences of deporting LPRs without appellate review, a brief history of the treatment of immigration-related cases by the U.S Supreme Court such as Padilla v. Kentucky, and Strickland v. Washington and the need of uniform standard of appellate review.
