The author discusses a student debate about animal care, organized by the Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF), held at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, England in 2014. Topics include the need to reduce the numbers of horses that are being kept 24 hours in stables, the use of whip in horse racing, and the horse racing regulation imposed by equestrian sport organization F&233;dération Equestre Internationale which prohibits people using too tight nosebands from competing.
