- Abstract
The article discusses several approaches that are aimed to avoid international trafficking of children. It explores the regulations concerning the legal adoption of children in Haiti. It discusses the significance of intercountry agreements such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), Hague Intercountry Adoption Convention, and Optional Protocol to the CRC on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution, and Child Pornography. It examines several international comparative situations involving child black markets in Romania and Cambodia. It also encourages that penalties and criminal investigations on child trafficking must be heightened.
