- Abstract
The article presents information on the Cypriot Art Déo and addresses it as the dominating variant of modernist architecture the 1930s-1940s in Cyprus. It is argued that the Mendelsohnian streamline moderne is the most prevalent Art Déo trends and a rounded architectural morphology characterizes it. It is mentioned that France, England and Athens, Greece are the main sources of the Mediterranean Art Déo along with a local architectural elite that is partially anonymous.
