- Authors
Boyle, Michael P.
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a young man with mild cystic fibrosis (CF) who is homozygous for the delta F508 cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CTFR) mutation. The patient's baseline forced expiratory volume in a single second reaches to about 80% of the expected value and is also been suffering with mucoid Pseudomonas aeruginosa for several years. The role of patient education and the essence of addressing some of the patient's underlying attitudes are also discussed.
