- Title
LIFE WITHIN LIFE: A CASE STUDY SUGGESTIVE OF INTEGRATING PAST LIVES AND OTHER ALTERED STATES OF REALITY INTO THE PRESENT.
- Authors
Hoyer, Stephen; Lloyd, Linda S.
- Abstract
This paper presents a near-death experience that involved a woman traveling to an alternate reality, living out an entire lifetime there, and then returning to her own life. The authors explain this by suggesting that this is an example of a past lifetime ‘overlapping’ a current lifetime. This explanation requires an adjustment to the normal understanding of reincarnation which is described as the Relative Model of reincarnation. Details of the alternate reality experience are presented as well as quotations from the subject's own notes. Implications for understanding life after death and for individual psychotherapy are presented.
