- Abstract
The article focuses on the fear related to the fragmentation of the U.S. due to diverse immigrants and the change in racial composition. The equal protection jurisprudence and the political impact of racial hostility and the related affirmative action are discussed. The need of integration of immigrants, the related immigration policies and social cohesion is considered. The relations between intercrop bias and social categorization based on social psychological research are also discussed
