AMERICAN AIR MUSEUM IN BRITAIN.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the American Air Museum in Duxford, England. It was stated that in 1986, Foster and Partners Architects was approached by the Imperial War Museum to design a building that will house its collection of American aircraft. The building has been designed to offer a neutral backdrop to the aircraft, emphasis on clarity and economic system of atmospheric control. A basic function of the building is to protect the aircraft from further environmental damage.
