- Title
15% pay claim an investment in nurses amd midwives.
- Abstract
The article reports on the campaign launched by the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives' Association (NSWNMA) to call for reforms in public hospitals, including a 15% pay increase for staff, increased funding for nurse-to-patient ratios, and improved working conditions. According to NSWNMA's Michael Whaites, the pay hike is ambitious but reasonable to make NSW nurses and midwives competitive with other Australian states.
