Oerlikon Neumag Technology for Freudenberg Nonwovens.
- Abstract
The article elaborates the changes implemented by Freudenberg Nonwovens to its facility in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The company has retrofitted one of its polypropylene homo-polymer spunlaid lines to bicomponent technology which features multipurpose capabilities for multiple product categories. The company employed the services of Oerlikon Neumag to make the necessary changes wherein it installed a complete new carding line to its facility including openers, cards, cross-lappers and needle looms. The plant will be operational in July 2008 and will start to serve Freudenberg's industrial customers in the Far East.
