This article reports on the nanofiber meltdown development of Hills Inc. In 2004 Hills Inc., a manufacturer of specialty fiber extrusion equipment, announced submicron meltblown and several production lines have been installed. The company confirms that it has made fibers averaging 250 nanometers in size utilizing a single polymer source of high MFI polypropylene and a special patented, printed circuit extrusion die.
