- Authors
Mehta, Atul
- Abstract
The author reflects on the results of a study by C. Braudeau and colleagues on the function of plasmacytoid dendritic cells (PDC) in the treatment of Gaucher's disease (GD) with enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). He discusses how the study was conducted which involved three women and four men with GD who were studied before and after ERT. The results reportedly revealed that innate PDC function is changed in GD patients and restored by ERT.
