- Abstract
This article discusses the specific dermoscopic findings in glomeruloid haemangioma for the diagnosis of POEMS syndrome. The case study focuses on a 56-year-old man who was referred to the Dermatology Department for evaluation of several haemangiomas on his trunk. Dermoscopic examination revealed vascular findings consisting of a combination of red lacunae and linear irregular vessels, which are specific to glomeruloid haemangiomas. Glomeruloid haemangioma is considered a specific finding in POEMS syndrome and can be helpful in differentiating it from other types of haemangiomas. The article concludes by stating that this specific finding from a noninvasive examination can aid in selecting which haemangiomas to biopsy for the diagnosis of POEMS syndrome.
