The article examines saving and investment in advanced and developing countries and corporate investment in Great Britain. It analyzes the period of low short and long-term interest rates experienced worldwide. The article suggests that the high level of saving in developing countries may, if maintained, lead to an eventual fairly modest fall in the rate of return on business sector capital.
