- Abstract
People have an inner world that encompasses their thoughts, desires, emotions, and dreams. The idea of securing your future, the desire for immortality, living in abundance, staying away from pain, always being happy, not feeling tired or bored, not needing sleep, eternal freedom as healthy young people, being with wonderfully beautiful chat friends consisting of houris and gilmans, unique living in peace and prosperity in heaven are the desires that people secretly or openly feel and express. Allāh has promised that he will grant such desires in paradise to people who sincerely believe in him and live a life of righteous deeds and worship. Therefore, people's worship and obedience to Allāh and their abandonment of the blessings of this world may stem from their belief that they will receive blessings in heaven that are incomparable to the blessings of this world. The article is important in terms of revealing that the verses that point to people's emotions, desires, and deep inner world direct people to give more importance to beliefs and worship, motivate them to do good behaviour and make significant contributions to mental health. Additionally, this article will contribute to the science of tafsīr in understanding the verses about heaven. With the commands and prohibitions it brought, the Qurʾān aims to ensure that all people, both in this world and in the other world, live a happy, peaceful, virtuous and beautiful life. However, it is also a fact that the happiness in the world will be lacking in some aspects. Absolute happiness is possible in the eternal world, in heaven. Knowing this truth, namely that there is eternal life in heaven, and having the belief that one will be rewarded for one's deeds, prevents a person from falling into pessimism, a lack of means and psychological depression. When a person's psychological needs cannot be met, there will be no sense of trust, instead, feelings of fear, helplessness, powerlessness and weakness will take over, and as a result, diseases will occur in the spiritual structure due to the feeling of psychological defeat. In the Qurʾān, the blessings of heaven are described in detail, in different aspects, in a vivid, concrete way, with emphatic expressions. Accordingly, while the blessings in heaven are perfect, inexhaustible and eternal blessings where desires and wishes are fulfilled to the end; The things in the world are imperfect, exhaustible and temporary blessings determined according to needs. In the verses in question, Almighty Allāh’s reward with unlimited heavens has a significant impact and an encouraging aspect on human psychology and practical deeds in every period of life. Verses describing the dreamy blessings of heaven have affected everything from human daily life to human relations, from moral behaviour to value judgments. In the light of this fact, our research aims to reveal the positive effects of the blessings that will be given in heaven mentioned in the verses on people's inner worlds and mental health. In this study, happiness, sadness, fear, pain, eternal life, food, drinks, clothing, jewellery, spouses, decent places, tiredness, weariness, bad traits, etc. are discussed. Within the framework of these topics, the positive contribution of heaven, which is full of beyond imagination and unlimited blessings, on human psychology was tried to be revealed under the light of verses.
