- Abstract
In this study, the effect of supply chain strategies of firms operating in Turkey that produce meat and meat products on information sharing and competitive advantage, and the effect of information sharing and competitive advantage on supply chain performance were investigated. In addition, whether information sharing and competitive advantage play a mediating role in the effect of supply chain strategies on supply chain performance has also been examined within the scope of the study. In order to test the models and hypotheses developed in line with the purpose of the study, a questionnaire was applied to meat and meat products producers operating in Turkey. Following the application, 408 valid surveys were obtained. The data obtained as a result of the survey application were analyzed through SPSS and AMOS programs. As a result of the structural equation analysis, it was seen that lean and agile supply chain strategies affect the competitive advantage of the firms by sharing information with customers and suppliers. Sharing information with customers affected only resource performance, while sharing information with suppliers affected both production and flexibility performance. Competitive advantage, on the other hand, had an impact on resource, production and flexibility performance. In the analysis results to determine the intermediary effects, it was seen that all other mediation roles, except the mediation role of information sharing with customers and suppliers, on the resource performance of the agile supply chain strategy.
