- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the effect of the category 5 cyclone Fay on Scott Reef, an isolated reef system in western Australia. The cyclone Fay had a central pressure of 905 hPa and wind with speed of 300 km per hour. At six locations across Scott Reef, five permanent transects of 9 meter depth were re-censused around one month after the cyclone. The effect of Cyclone Fay on the coral communities were less as expected because most of the branching corals had not yet recovered from the process of bleaching.
