- Abstract
The laboratory experiment and pilot test of twin-screw APMP pulping with alkali preteatment of whole stalk of Caragana korshinskii were carried out. The morphological characteristics of the twin-screw APMP pulp and the physical properties of the paper were investigated. The experimental results showed that after pretreatment of Caragana korshinskii by NaOH at 90℃,the paper obtained had higher tensile in⁃ dex,brigtness,ring crush strength and pulp yield than those of CMP of Caragana korshinskii. The pilot test further showed that the brigtness of twin-screw APMP pulp from Caragana korshinskii reached 70. 1% after two stages of H2O2 bleaching(2% H2O2 per stage). The fiber length of the Caragana korshinskii twin-screw APMP pulp in the laboratory test was generally short,and the weight average length was 0. 655 mm. The weight average fiber length of the pilot test twin-screw APMP pulp increased to 0. 803 mm,indicating that the large-diameter twinscrew could reduce fiber cutting.
