- Abstract
The article discusses about the book of Isaiah 15-16, befallen the Moabites, a neighboring people who had, at best, a checkered relationship with the Judeans. It further reflecting both Isaiah conservative Judean background and his deep rootage in the Jerusalem cultus; Jeroboam II's attack on Moab, with the Judean prophet Isaiah expressing sympathy for the victims of the northern kingdom's attack; and the relationship between Isaiah 15-16 and Jeremiah 48.
