DR. HAYDEE FAIMBERG AT THE QUEBEC ENGLISH DAY IN PSYCHOANALYSIS, 2008.
- Authors
CSANK, PATRICIA A. R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the ideas related to psychoanalysis conceptualized by Doctor Haydée Faimberg. Her concept of listening to listening, which applies to the psychoanalyst and the patient, is tackled. Faimberg is said to have offered insights about the relation between the listening to listening analytical function and to the listening to the transference. The author notes that the recognition that otherness exists outside one's subjectivity from the context of listening to listening contributes to the development of the third position concept.
