- Abstract
In Venezuela, achievements are shown in the healthcare architecture built by the State between 1936 and 1956. The objective is to assess, from the perspective of the history of architecture, how the architectural elements of tradition: the courtyard, the corridor and nature, were resources used for the cure of mentally ills and tuberculosis patients; the result warns that architecture was an instrument used for the healing of these sufferers.
