Never Too Old for an Eating Disorder?
- Abstract
The article presents a survey by Barbara Mangweth-Matzeth, PhD and colleagues at Innsbruck Medical University, Innsbruck, Austria, which found that most older patient suffer eating disorders. The survey revealed that most of the women reported dissatisfaction with their weight and shape. It also correlated with the higher percentage of women who were trying to control their weight. It is suggested that eating disorder be included in the diagnosis of older women.
