- Abstract
First, as Targum notes, the drug-placebo difference was not statistically significant in the second double-blind PRI trial even when excluding individuals responsive to placebo. Comment & Response B In Reply b We thank Targum for his interest in our systematic review and meta-analysis[1] on placebo run-in periods (PRI) in antidepressant trials for depression. Further, in the first double-blind PRI trial, the drug-placebo difference was significant when excluding individuals responsive to placebo but not when including individuals responsive to placebo.
