- Abstract
The 15th Sensor Symposium in Dresden was converted into an online event at short notice due to the increasing incidences in autumn 2021. The conference, organized by the Measurement and Sensor Technology Specialist Group in cooperation with Dechema e.V. and AMA e.V., focused on the latest developments in sensor technology and covered a wide range of applications from medical to environmental monitoring. The six contributions in this special edition address topics such as high-performance electronic measurements, the development of intelligent gas sensor systems, online monitoring of bacteria in water systems, improving biosensors through magnetic actuators, and numerical simulations for high-temperature operation of sensors. Another contribution presents flexible and highly sensitive sensors based on polymer-carbon nanomaterials. These contributions provide insights into various specializations in the field of sensor technology and measurement science.
