- Abstract
The article examines the relationship between quality of working life, organizational performance, and managerial strategy. The authors discuss several reasons for considering corporate altruism to be a myth and the features to be incorporated in a quality of working life program. The authors states that a quality of working life program that works well in one organization is guaranteed to work well in a similar organization, according to the cloning myth. The article also presents categories of approaches to planning and improving work structure in an organization.
