- Authors
Williams, Robert M.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the results of the tenth annual University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) faculty forecast. It states that the U.S. economy will expand through 1962 and that total business activity would set a new record. It mentions seven economic indicators that the UCLA used in developing their forecast: gross national product, industrial production, residential construction, automobile production, wholesale prices, consumer prices, and stock prices. It presented information showing the trend in the seven categories from 1958 to 1961 as well as the forecast for 1962 with quarterly projections.
