- Title
CORPORATIONS GOING GREEN.
- Abstract
This article discusses ecologically-friendly measures taken by U.S. companies during the 21st century. Whole Foods Market purchased credits from wind farms to account for all of the electricity used in its stores, the first such major U.S. company to take such a step. The company said that the ecological impact of the move is the equivalent of taking 60,000 automobiles off the roads. Walgreens has also announced ecologically-friendly measures, including putting solar electric systems in two of its distribution centers and many of its stores.
