- Abstract
The article examines the views of British author Vernon Lee on English poet and writer Walter Savage Landor's work. A brief profile of Landor is provided who was popular for modeling certain stylistic values and did not have a large readership. Lee was reportedly frustrated about Landor's style who she deemed as an unfeeling wretch. Also tackled are the grounds of Lee's judgments, idioms of modernism, and Lee's book "The Handling of Words."
