- Abstract
Objective: to validate an interview tool based on Betty Neuman's theory for teacher stress assessment. Method: a methodological study developed during the construction of the items, content analysis by a panel of judges and validation of appearance. The data were described in simple frequency and analyzed by calculating the Content Validity Index (CVI) and the binomial test. Results: in the analysis of content and appearance, the instrument obtained the CVIt of 0.82 and 0.92, respectively. Conclusion: the proposed instrument is valid from the point of view of content and appearance. Its content is related to the Betty Neuman model and is able to identify the three types of stressors and the five variables that make up the individual. Their employment allows one to evaluate the causes of stress, to what types of stressors teachers are exposed and which dimensional variables are in imbalance.
