The article suggests a method for the care of asymptomatic basal cell carcinoma (BCC) in older patients with limited life expectancy. Topics discussed include the treatment of BCCs in older people who die within a year, symptoms of BCCs, the role of dermatologists for providing accurate diagnosis and treatment for BCCs, benefits of diagnosing and treating asymptomatic BCCs and potential overdiagnosis of BCCs in older people.
